A business owner captured the moment a panel in the ceiling collapsed, allowing water to flood in.
Another customer captured the moment parts of the roof inside the Best & Less fell.
Customers were evacuated and nobody was injured, a spokesperson for the centre said.
“Our centre team are working to support impacted retail partners and customers at this time,” they told 7NEWS.com.au.
“Our team is also working with emergency services onsite to respond and review the thunderstorm damage.”
Fire and Rescue NSW responded to the shopping centre, along with police, to “assess the damage and stabilise the roof”.
“The ceiling of at least one store inside Westfield Mt Druitt has collapsed following a storm,” Fire and Rescue NSW says.
“FRNSW crews are working to assess the damage and stabilise the roof. Call triple-0 for emergencies and the NSW SES on 132500 for all other storm-related requests.”
It comes as Greater Sydney was battered by a wild storm.
Earlier on Thursday, the Bureau of Meteorology warned people along the coast, from Grafton to Wollongong, to prepare for the severe weather system.
“Multiple thunderstorms are currently, or about to, impact major population centres, including Sydney,” the BOM warned.

“People should immediately check their local radars.
“Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging, locally destructive winds, large, possibly giant hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.“
Hailstones as large as 5cm were reported at Penrith.
