St Vincent and the Grenadines will remain under a flash flood warning until 6 am on Tuesday, August 24.
A flash flood warning is issued when flooding is imminent or already occurring.
The Meteorological service says frequent pockets of moderate to heavy showers associated with the passage of a tropical wave will continue to affect SVG this evening into tonight.
In addition, another tropical wave is approaching the islands and upper levels remain favourable.
The Met Service says rainfall accumulations of 3 to 4 inches are possible during the next 12-hour period.
Due to the already saturated nature of soils, any additional rainfall could lead to additional flooding and land slippage.
The Met service warns that residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should take the necessary precautionary measures to protect life and property.
Small craft operators and sea bathers should also exercise extreme caution for above sea normal swells and gusty winds and reduced visibility due to showers.
