Caring for your KrisisBag™

Avoid exposing your KrisisBag to cleaning agents and solvents

These will cause damage to the bags. The ingredients in these liquids will react with the material of your KrisisBag, causing flaws. If contact does occur the watertight properties may be compromised and will void the warranty.

Extreme Heat

Do not expose your KrisisBag to excessive heat. Bags must be stored at room temperature and not exceed 40 degrees celsius [104 degrees fahrenheit]. Never iron your KrisisBag. Extreme heat will cause damage to PVC material.

Exposure of your KrisisBag to extreme heat will void the warranty.

Washing

Do not wash or dry clean your KrisisBag. Krisis Bags are intended for single-use water exposure. Washing your KrisisBag will void the warranty.

Caring for the zipper

Extreme Heat

Do not expose your KrisisBag zipper to extreme heat. Keep the bag’s zipper away from any heat source exceeding 40 degrees celsius [104 degrees fahrenheit]. Never iron your KrisisBag zipper. Extreme heat will damage the waterproof film applied to the zip.

Exposing your KrisisBag zipper to extreme heat will void the warranty.

Washing

Do not wash or dry clean your KrisisBag zipper. Krisis Bags zippers are intended for single-use water exposure. Washing is not recommended as this will compromise the waterproof film applied to the zipper. Avoid exposing the zipper to any form of moisture before using it in a flood protection situation.

Washing your KrisisBag zipper will void the warranty.

Storage

Don’t store your KrisisBag in direct sunlight

It is important to not store your KrisisBag in direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to the sun will degrade the material. Storing the KFB in a dark or well shaded area is essential to maintain the bag’s performance.

Store your KrisisBag at room temperature

It’s important to store your KrisisBag at room temperature and away from excessive heat. Prolonged exposure to heat above 40 degrees celsius [104 degrees fahrenheit] will degrade the material.

Do not store objects on top of your KrisisBag

Do not store your KrisisBag under pressure as this may cause damage to zips or PVC material.

Store in a dry environment

Storing your KrisisBags in a dry environment will prevent the buildup of mould and mildew and prevent the coating on the zipper from deteriorating.

Product Lifespan of KrisisBags

If stored correctly away from heat and moisture, the lifespan of the zipper and PVC material is 10 years. It is therefore recommended that KFBs be replaced after 10 years.
