Mother pleads for help finding hit-and-run driver that killed her daughter – WFTV

ORLANDO, Fla. — The mother of a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash in downtown Orlando is pleading with the public to come forward with information in solving the case.

On Nov. 6. 24-year-old Lauren Winston was crossing East Washington Street near Magnolia Avenue just after 1 a.m. when a car ran a red light and hit her.

At a press conference Friday Sherri Winston asked anyone with information on her daughter’s case to contact police.

“I’m making appeals to anyone who was in the area on the night of the accident to please come forward,” Winston said.

On Nov. 13 investigators released video from a traffic camera of the car involved in the crash.

The video shows a black Dodge Challenger leaving the intersection just after the crash.

Police are offering a reward of $5000 for information about the case.
