Macintyre River in Queensland near peak levels

Macintyre River at Goondiwindi, Queensland, is close to peaking above major flood levels after an emergency warning was issued to residents.

The river level at Boggabilla, south of Goondiwindi, is sitting at 12.39 metres, just below the peak level recorded in 2011.

There are 10,000 sandbags available for local residents, and SES crew are on standby to dispatch them if needed.
