“Life-threatening” flash floods ravaged parts of Alabama on Wednesday evening, Oct. 6, and a flash flood warning was extended through Thursday when torrential rain hit the area, the National Weather Service reported. Josh McGinnis said he shot this video Thursday morning from his home on Patton Chapel Road in Hoover. Rainwater had flowed through his property the previous night, additional images show. The Hoover Fire Department said two people were missing in Hoover after their vehicle was swept away by flooding Wednesday night. The department carried out a number of water rescues during the “unprecedented” flood, according to a statement. WVTM reported that the missing pair of motorists were found dead and identified them as two 23-year-olds, Latin Marie Hill and Myles Jared Butler. Credit: Josh McGinnis via Storyful
