Initial Minor Flood Warning For The Herbert River
Issued at 10:34 AM EST on Thursday 30 December 2021
Flood Watch Number: 1

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT GLENEAGLE HOMESTEAD DURING FRIDAY.
Widespread rainfall totals 50 to 100mm have been observed across the catchment in the 24 hours to 9am Thursday, with isolated higher totals of up to 150mm. Further rainfall is forecast for the next few days, clearing by the weekend.

Herbert River to Nash’s Crossing:
Minor flooding may occur along the Herbert River to Nash’s Crossing.
The Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead is expected to be below the minor flood level (4.50 metres) and rising.
The Herbert River at Gleneagle may reach the minor flood level (4.50 m) during Friday, easing from the weekend.

Herbert River downstream of Nash’s Crossing:
No flooding is expected to develop in the Herbert River downstream of Nash’s Crossing.
