A flash flood warning has been issued for Portland after storms battered homes, sparking dozens of calls for emergency assistance. An SES spokesperson said there were currently 68 incidents in Portland, with 35 for floods and 33 for building damage. Residents in the area are being urged to avoid flooded and low-lying areas and be aware that heavy rainfall may also increase the potential for landslides and debris across roads.
